The weekend was full of excitement and heated debate, because World Lithuanian Youth Summit has just took place in Harmony Park. It’s a festival of great ideas and wonderful music, which is held every two years.
Over the course of the three-day Summit young Lithuanians from all around the world had the opportunity to listen to prominent professionals’ multilateral discussions, share their experiences, discuss pressing issues, exchange contacts, and engage directly with key representatives from four different spheres — politics, education, business and culture. Later the participants could enjoy live music shows, various workshops, newest Lithuanian movie screenings, sports tournaments and other entertainment activities.
Chairman of the Board of Lewben Group Vilius Kavaliauskas participated in the discussion with Virginija Vitkienė, Giedrė Žickytė, Lauras Lučiūnas and Erica Jennings about the preservation of Lithuanian culture in the world and both with Vytenis Burokas, Rima Aukštuolytė, Juozas Griušis, Algirdas Kaušpėdas and Ray Bartkus wondered how culture and art can cause revolutions.
