Blockchain is a shared, immutable ledger that makes the process of recording transactions secure and straightforward. It leverages a sophisticated cryptography mechanism to guarantee that everything implemented (referred to as “blocks”) is valid and can be verified. This ledger, which is often maintained by a group of internet elves known as “miners,” may be used to hold what are essentially the legal bylaws of an organisation in papers known as smart contracts, which are decentralised versions of traditional contracts.

After a transaction has been registered into the shared ledger, no participant may make any changes to it or tamper with it. Whenever a mistake is encountered in a transaction record, a new transaction must be created to correct the issue, and both transactions are visible.

A decentralised autonomous organisation (DAO) is a method of organising individuals and their interests on the internet that makes use of the blockchain. Overall, DAOs do not need a central authority. Instead, the group takes choices as a whole, and payments are automatically allowed when votes are unanimously approved.
